The value for money at the hotel was great - affordable and worth the price. The room was basic but had everything I needed. The location in the French Concession was fantastic, with plenty of nearby restaurants and bars to explore. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
The morning meal could be improved with a wider variety of options.

It was easy to book and close to everything I wanted to do in Shanghai
At checkin my booking had not gone through to them and they wanted to charge me more for the room My room I got ended up to be very small and in bad need of a bad revamp.I would stay again and recomed to others as it is very handy to many places in Shanghai

The cleaner came to clean the room even though there was a do not disturb sign on the door. The internet page did not have a log out button, so I was only able to use it on one laptop. Room was smaller and darker than the images shown on the website. It would be preferred to offer wifi within the room. Location was confusing as Donghu occupied 3 different locations within the area. It was not clear where the facilties were and if there were any.

Meine beste Erfahrung!

Excellent location in the heart of Puxi. Nb the Donghu Hotel is 1 minute walking up the road, most taxi drivers drop you at the hotel. There are no breakfast facilities at the Guest House but you can use the hotel or there is a great coffee shop (Wagas) with free wifi next door. Within easy walking to South Shaanxi metro or Changshu metro.

the room was cool & silent. the hotel had beautiful spanish gardens you could relax in with a few listed buildings. opposite was a fantastic spa & next door el willys, one of the best restaurants in shanghai with a great courtyard away from the madness. with a fresh juice bar for the mornings underneath & the monkey lounge for late nights hidden there amongst the various tappanaki & sushi joints, you really dont need to move.. & frankly, when its 34 degrees & you'e negotiating your way around 30 million chinese people, some days you just simply dont want to move..
if you put a do not disturb sign on the door they ring you up & disturb you to see if you want your room cleaned. so stupid.. saying that, they do the same at the shangri la... & all over the world. house keeping are a global nuisance.

The hotel is located off a main street in a nice neighborhood, making it a great place to stay when exploring the distinctive district. The rooms with oriental furniture are clean and well-equipped, with quite comfortable beds and baby cribs available. The breakfast selection with about 100 items is a perfect way to start your day.
All was ok.

The location is excellent however the room is very small and the bathroom is tiny. I am only a five-footer and already find the bathroom very tight. Because of the location, I would stay there again though.

the location is good, near everything in the french concession.
The aircondicion is not useful at all, since its dont work as it should. The free internet with cable, is also not working, its too bad a connection and I didnt manage to get online. Its really a problem... Then rather charge some money for those who wants to use the internet so that you atleast can get online if nessesary.

Adequate comfort. Best of all, location.
Barren lobby. Plenty of room for lobby seating, but there were only a sofa and chair or two in one corner.

Perfect location in a lively and historic area, surrounded by a great variety of local shops and restaurants. Easy access to public transport, providing a hassle-free commute to key areas of the city. Free internet, which was a great convenience when working from the hotel.
Our room was on a high floor and unfortunately, we experienced a lot of noise from the street at night, which made it difficult to sleep. , the ventilation in the room was not very efficient, making the air inside a bit stuffy and uncomfortable.

Location location location....centrally located with tons of restuarants nearbye. Easy to get cabs, easy to walk from here to many parts of Shanghai as well. Stayed here with a friend in a double this time, and have stayed in a single. Bathroom in the double was alot bigger than the one in the single. Room on the 7th floor had a nice view of a large garden out the side we were on.
Was a bit worried by the fact that they give you earplugs in the room, but even though there was disco of some kind nearbye, neither the music nor the everpresent fireworks bothered us.
